Wise Observatory Database

Search by Coordinates Utility

Search the Wise Observatory Images Database by coordinates. This search is made over precessed (to J2000.0) lists of headers that are sorted into declination zones. This search return the header information in the Wise images. with one difference, the coordinates are in J2000.0 instead of the equinox of date. For each image the search is done in the image size taking into account the scale and number of pixels. Since the coordinates in the header could have error of 1 or 2 arcmin. the area search is larger by 20% then the image size.
