Astronomy & Telescopes

My observational work as a graduate student was done at the Wise Observatory, the major scientific observatory in Israel. Two telescopes are operating in the observatory: a 1-m Ritchey-Chrétien reflector and a prime-focus 0.46-m reflector.

At MIT I frequently use NASA’s 3-m Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF), that is located on the top of Mauna Kea (Hawaii). Observations are done remotely…:

MIT is a partner on the 6.5-m Magellan telescope, in Chile’s Atacama desert:

While a post-doc at the Weizmann Observatory I had the opportunity to observe through these huge telescopes:

·       The 10-m telescope at Keck Observatory (Hawaii)

·       The 5-m Hale telescope at Palomar Observatory (California)

I Collaborate with some observational projects:

·       The Palomar Transient Factory (PTF). California.

·       Ondrejov Asteroid Photometry Project. Czech Rep.

·       The Micro-lensing Follow-Up Network (μFun). Ohio.

Visits to observatories around the world:
