Housing

Housing will be at the Aspen Meadows .

This is within walking distance of the Physics Center, and free shuttles will also be available from the Meadows to the Physics Center and to town.

Our special prices for a hotel room at the Aspen Meadows are in effect for a limited time. Also, due to the large number of participants, we are not guaranteed a sufficient number of rooms, unless we all book early. This also means that if you are not bringing along family, we ask that you share a room. The rooms are large, so sharing a room is both comfortable and economical. Thus, whether you are a student or a senior Professor, PLEASE FIND ROOMMATE(S) AND BOOK YOUR ROOM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. In addition to making your lodging arrangements, please also register and book your travel early.

The room types offered are:
1) Junior suite with a king bed
2) Junior suite with 2 queen beds
3) One Bedroom Suite with a king bed

All of the above room types have an additional queen size sleeper sofa. Therefore, two adults can comfortably stay in any of the rooms. Those looking for a cheaper option can choose the junior suite with 2 queen beds, and share the room among three adults, with each participant having their own bed to sleep in.

The price per person (including breakfast for all occupants, internet access, and the 10% tax) is $264 (single occupancy), $140 (double occupancy), $108 (3 per room), or $92 (for families with 4 in a room). Children under 12 are free.

Registration and Meadows Reservation Instructions:

Go into our web site (www.aspenphys.org) and to the Application page. Once there, click on Registration, and the Winter Registration & Housing window will appear. Click on the blue box. You must enter the log-in that was sent to you in the Nov. 23'rd email to accepted applicants.

The next screen provides registration ($350) and banquet payment options, and also directs you to online registration payment, to roommate lists, and to hotel links.

If you need to find a roommate, do that before booking a room. If not, click the Get Housing button after your selected conference and proceed. As you travel through the Meadows reservation form, the 4th page is where you indicate how many children are included in your reservation. Children under 12 are free, but if you do not indicate them, on the 4th page, you will be charged the guest fee.

Banquet:

Thursday night is a conference banquet at the Meadows after your evening session. We strongly urge you and your guests to attend. The sign-up and payment options for this are available with your registration fee. The $55 price includes wine and tip. Note that each participant attending the banquet will receive $40 towards expenses, effectively making the banquet almost free for participants. Spouses and guests will have to pay the full price.
