Aimed at detecting evidence of structure from 21cm emission at the Epoch of Reionization, the Precision Array for Probing the Epoch of Reionization (PAPER) represents the next logical step from a global detection of the onset of hydrogen ionization. This array of 128 dipoles operating between 100 and 200 MHz is currently being constructed in the Karoo Desert, South Africa. Having a sub-degree resolution as well as a 60 degree wide primary beam PAPER is also an very capable survey instrument especially when coupled with the test array in Green Bank, WV. I will give an update on the current progress of the deployment as well as the most recent state of the data analysis, including a first look at the foreground catalogs, noise limits and power spectrum.
