STMC is the
first educational program operating
in Israel dedicated to teach Space Technology to children and
adolescents. The program started with 30 students ages
16-18
from the Meyerhoff Technical College, Tel Aviv University, and
has been in
successful operation since November 2002 under the direction of Dr. Ana
B.
Heller (AH).
Main
Goals:
Stimulate student interest in space technology.
Enables students to increase their knowledge of
astronomy, mathematics, and physics.
Provide information on new technologies.
Develop skills to prepare students for aerospace
careers.
Inspire the next generation of scientific
explorers and engineers
STMC students are organized in different teams
and participate in various projects, national contests, congress and
conferences. Today the
program includes four main projects:

3-Educational Courses on Space
Technologies - 160 students of the College.
4- BagrutProjects (5 units in Technology).
Two projects of STMC, MAXOLAR
(2004)
and Advanced
Sun Sensor (2005) awarded the "Young Scientic
Researchers Contest in Israel".
AH
